11月、日本の子どもたちは文化祭の開催で忙しい季節ですね！
Hello November! All Japanese kids must be busy having Cultural day!
ところで、ここメルボルンでも「文化の日」をたのしむイベントがあるのを知っていますか？
By the way, did you know there is an event to enjoy 'Cultural Day' in Melbourne?
2010年にメルボルンのコリングウッドではじまったこの「日本文化芸術祭」は、11月3日、日本の「文化の日」に合わせて、日本の文化や芸術をオーストラリアの人びとと分かち合い、学び合おうというイベントです。このフェスティバルは「体験」「交流」をテーマとし、ワークショップをとおして実際にもの作りやパフォーマンスに参加、挑戦してもらうことで、日本文化をより身近に感じてもらうことを目指しています。
This 'Japan Culture and Art Festival' started in 2010 in Collingwood is an event to share and learn Japanese culture and art through running various cultural workshops, as well as celebrating 'Cultural Day' in Japan on 3rd November. We focus on 'experience' and 'interact'. We aim to make a festival into something where you can acutually have hands-on experience and challenge making something to feel Japanese culture closer and deepen your understanding.
本年の開催日は12月15日、会場はノースメルボルン・タウンホールです。もう続々と参加パフォーマーやアーティスト、ワークショップで日本文化を教える人たちが集まってくれていて、わくわくするようなプログラムができあがってきています。
This year our festival will be on 25th November at North Melbourne Town Hall. We already have a lot of performers, musicians, artists and workshops to make our program so exciting!
また、日本文化芸術祭はフェスティバル当日のボランティアスタッフを大大大募集しています！
ボランティアの内容は受付、会場案内、フードやドリンクのセールススタッフ、ワークショップやバックステージやでのお手伝いなどいろいろあります。オーストラリアと日本をつなぐコミュニティの一部となる、英語と日本語のバイリンガル環境で働いてみる、またボランティアスタッフ仲間やゲストともふれあいメルボルンでたくさん友だちをつくるとってもいい機会になるはず。
So, we also are looking for volunteer staffs who can help us run our festival on the event day!
We have various roles such as receptionists, floor assistants, food and drink sales staffs, workshops and backstage assitants, etc.. It it a great opportunitis for you to be in a part of Australia-Japanese community, work in a bilingual environment and make friends through working with your volunteer work mates and talking with our guests!
